Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about GEO, AI visibility, and how LynxAudit helps your business get recommended by AI.
General
What is GEO?
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization. It's the practice of optimizing your website so that AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google Gemini recommend your brand when users ask relevant questions. Think of it as SEO for the AI era.
How is GEO different from SEO?
Traditional SEO focuses on ranking in Google's link-based results. GEO focuses on being cited and recommended in AI-generated answers. The signals that matter are different: structured data, content clarity, brand authority across platforms, and how easily AI models can understand and reference your content.
Why does AI visibility matter?
More and more people are using AI assistants instead of Google to find products and services. If AI isn't recommending your brand, you're invisible to a growing segment of potential customers. Early movers who optimize for AI visibility now will have a significant advantage.
How It Works
What does a GEO audit analyze?
We analyze 6 categories: Citability (how easily AI can quote your content), Brand Authority (your presence across platforms AI models reference), Content Quality (E-E-A-T signals), Technical Infrastructure (crawlability, speed, security), Schema Markup (structured data), and Platform Readiness (optimization for specific AI platforms).
How does the visibility test work?
We generate realistic prompts that real users would ask AI assistants in your industry, then actually run those prompts through AI models to check if your brand appears in the response. This gives you concrete data on whether AI is recommending you.
How long does an audit take?
A full GEO audit typically completes in 2-3 minutes. We crawl your website, run analysis across all 6 categories using AI, execute visibility prompt tests, and compile everything into a scored report with actionable recommendations.
What is the GEO Score?
Your GEO Score is a weighted composite score from 0-100 that represents your overall AI visibility readiness. It combines scores from all 6 audit categories, weighted by their impact on AI discoverability. A score above 70 is good, above 85 is excellent.
Monitoring
What does monitoring do?
Monitoring tracks your AI visibility over time by re-running the same set of AI prompts on a schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly). You can see trends, get alerts when your visibility changes, and measure the impact of your optimization efforts.
How many domains can I monitor?
It depends on your plan. Starter includes 1 monitored domain, Premium includes 5, and Agency includes 20. Enterprise plans have unlimited monitoring.
Pricing & Billing
Is there a free plan?
You can sign up and explore the full dashboard for free — no credit card required. To run audits and access all features, choose a paid plan starting at just $15/month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. All plans are month-to-month (or annual). You can cancel at any time from your dashboard settings. If you cancel, you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.
What's included in the Agency plan?
The Agency plan includes 50 audits/month, 20 monitored domains, white-label PDF reports (your logo instead of ours), and custom branding. It's designed for agencies managing GEO optimization for multiple clients.
Technical
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security, SSL encryption for all data in transit, and we never store your website's full HTML content long-term. Our infrastructure is fully GDPR compliant.
Do you offer an API?
API access is available on our Enterprise plan. Contact us for details on integration, rate limits, and documentation.
What AI models do you test against?
Our visibility tests currently run prompts through Claude (Anthropic). We're actively working on adding ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), and Perplexity to provide multi-model visibility tracking.
